Fairtrade

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]fair-trade-logo-250x150

We are a Fairtrade school. Our active Fairtrade steering group continue to promote Fairtrade in our school and the local community, through the many activities and initiatives they devise and deliver, or take part in. Fairtrade is embedded across the curriculum in many subject areas and across the Key Stages, and Fairtrade Foundation assessors have described our work as, ‘amongst the best we have seen.’

Our primary motivation for this work comes from our Christian faith, and from Christ’s mandate to serve him, by serving the least of his brothers and sisters. In other words, as a legitimate example of the work for social justice, Fairtrade is a vehicle by which we, as a Christian community, ensure we strive to uphold the equal dignity of, and come to the aid of, those most in need in our world.
