Lent & Easter

Like Advent, the seasons of Lent & Easter are so important to us at St. Benedict’s and as such we really commit to Jesus’ teachings on prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. Throughout the season of Lent there are regular opportunities for students to take time away to pray in our Chapel in both individual and communal prayer.

Lenten Assemblies and Liturgies

With the whole church we mark the start of the Lenten period on Ash Wednesday with a liturgy. Throughout Lent our assemblies are focused on the themes fasting, repenting, renewal, forgiveness, and praying in preparation to receive Jesus on Easter day. These assemblies are led by staff as well as students.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation

The opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered to our students in the Lenten season.
