Dear Year 11 students,
I hope that you and your families are well and staying safe. I am writing to you to inform you of our transition programme which has now been launched. This is being done through Microsoft Teams and if you are currently at St Benedict’s you will need to:
- Login into teams, click on the teams dashboard/subjects then click on transition. The transition module will automatically appear with all the subjects.
If you are an external candidate, you will need to:

The transition team has a general page and then each subject has its own specific page with work set. The general page has information related to sixth form including online courses we expect you to complete as well as a preparation for A Level study booklet which you also need to work on. My recommendation is that all students complete the transition work for 5 subjects so that you get a range of subjects and this will also extend your learning in preparation for A level study. Please can I remind all students that our basic entry requirements are 5 GCSE’s at Grade 4 or above including English and Maths. All students should have achieved at least Grade 4 in English (this can be Language or Literature) or Mathematics. However all our subjects have specific entry requirements which you must familiarise yourself with.
