All of our Year 10 students have this week taken part in another one of our PSHE Drop Down Days. Throughout the year, we hold various days like this which deliver key knowledge and raise awareness on themes surrounding Diversity and Equality, Antibullying, Personal Safety, Online Safety, Child Exploitation, Mental Health, and Citizenship.

This week, the day was  all about apprenticeships with various talks and workshops throughout the day. Delegates from Inspira, All Together Cumbria, GEN2, Hello Future and ASK Programme spent the day with our Year 10 students covering various topics.

Mrs Kelso, Careers Lead said:

“For students who will soon be thinking about their next steps post sixteen its has been extremely valuable having so much input from employers and their staff today. Our students feel they have learnt so much about their future choices and how to understand wages.”

“We really appreciate the time and support from everyone who came into school to assist us today.”

The delegates covered topics ranging from Interview Preparation, Money Skills and Understanding Apprenticeships.
