The IET Faraday Challenge is an annual competition of STEM activity days, which are designed to be cross curricular and cover hands on activities spanning science, technology, engineering and maths.
The students were asked to develop an engineering solution for one of three Design Briefs.
The Design Briefs were:
The students had to plan, cost, manufacture and present their ideas to a panel of 3 IET representatives. They all worked extremely well, and after fighting off stiff competition from other local schools came home victorious!
Mr Stevenson said: “Well done Year 8, we are all very, very proud!”
